At Women's Health Professionals, we have an Obstetrics Team that is passionate about caring for you and your baby. The birth of a child is an exhilarating time for parents and family. We want you to know that at Women’s Health Professionals your team of practitioners are excited each time we get to share in those moments with you!
We offer an array of tests, including blood tests to check for an increased risk of fetal anomalies such as Down's Syndrome and spina bifida. We also offer an early 1st trimester screening ultrasound (at 6 1/2 to 7 weeks) to confirm the pregnancy and determine your due date. We strongly recommend routine fetal ultrasound at twenty weeks of gestation to assess the fetus' growth and development and to monitor for major anomalies. We may also suggest additional ultrasound examinations if the need arises. Our years of expertise allow us to manage everything from routine to even the high-risk pregnancies. We want patients to trust us with any issues that may arise during their pregnancies.
We sincerely hope that your pregnancy is everything you desire it to be and more. We will do our very best to make sure these are experiences that you will fondly remember.
We believe the more you know about labor and birth the better prepared you will be to deal with the many challenges each often bring. As a result, we offer our patients private childbirth classes taught by our certified nurse-midwife that follow a Lamaze format yet cover numerous other topics such as breastfeeding, well-baby care and sibling issues.
Our classes are for all of our patients wishing to learn more about the birthing process and not just those interested in "natural childbirth".
Classes are offered on Saturday mornings to make attendance easier for those who find it difficult to get away from work during the week. When you and your partner complete our education program, you will feel confident in your ability to give birth and care for your baby.
