Nurse Practitioners are otherwise known as “physician extenders.” They work under and in collaboration with supervising physicians. They are very well adapted to routine gynecologic exams, treatment, and follow up of minor to moderate problems.. They will often refer a patient to their supervising physician for conditions that warrant.
